Wedding

Maria + Joe: Hunter Valley

It was a beautifully intimate wedding for Maria & Joe when they recently married in the Hunter Valley. The ceremony was held in a cozy room at the Tower Lodge Chateaux, in front of an open fire as the gentle tap-tap of the rain could be heard outside. As family and guests mingled inside, Maria and Joe happily explored the beautiful (and very wet) property grounds. Laughing in the rain, I’m not quite sure Maria’s shoes will ever be the same shade of white again after tramping through those vineyards :) Then it was back to the lodge, into the warmth of their reception and those amazing flower decorations, where everyone sat together at one long, old wooden table. Beautiful.

Gretchen + Evan: Watsons Bay, Sydney Harbour

Gretchen + Evan: Watsons Bay, Sydney Harbour

It was such a pleasure to see Gretchen and Evan exchange vows at the beautiful chapel on the grounds of HMAS Watson in Watsons Bay. Evan is often posted overseas for several months, so these two had done a lot of their planning from opposite sides of the world, but that only added to the anticipation and excitement of their big day.

The rain did come, but didn’t hang around too long to interrupt, and was completely gone by the time of their reception onboard the Sydney Glass Island. The crowds weren’t put off by the grey skies either – we were photo-bombed by Eastern European tourists at the Sydney Opera House steps, and then by Superman at the wharf nearby!

Congrats G&E, on a beautiful and fun wedding day!

Justine + Chris: Royal Automobile Club, Sydney

Justine + Chris: Royal Automobile Club, Sydney

Justine and Chris put so much planning and effort into creating their perfect day. We’re good friends with these two, and were lucky to hear about the details from early on, so it was extra exciting to see all of their  ideas come to life! Although they had organised a garden wedding in the Botanic Gardens, mother nature had other plans. We were amazed to see how easygoing Justine and Chris were about swapping locations and moving the ceremony inside – and in the end, as you can see in the photos, it was all about their love for each other. The ceremony was so touching and sweet. The clouds parted afterwards and we wandered around the rose gardens, capturing their newly wedded bliss!

The party at the Royal Automobile Club was wild and fun, complete with photobooth, a frenzy of dancing, and an opera singing ‘chef’ to entertain the guests during dinner. Such a super fun way to end a perfect, happy day. We’re so glad we were there to experience it with you, Justine and Chris!

Carlie + Paul: North Shore, Sydney

Meet the Wagner newlyweds! These two are the sort of people that instantly warm the room as soon as they walk in. Spend a few minutes with them, and you’ll find yourself smiling and laughing, and when you walk away you can’t help but feel better because of it. Carlie and Paul were married at a beautiful ceremony at St Swithuns Church in Pymble, before the super fun bridal party headed to Bradley’s Head and Georges Heights for a few portraits. Sparkling views across Sydney Harbour provided the backdrop to their gorgeous reception at Sergeant’s Mess in Mosman, where the day stepped up a gear into party mode. What a perfect day for a wonderful couple!

Bianca + Brighton: Palm Beach, Sydney

Bianca and Brighton were married at a beautiful backyard ceremony in Palm Beach. We had a little wind and rain during the afternoon, but the skies magically cleared just as Bianca and her bridesmaids arrived.

We headed to nearby Snapperman Beach for bridal party photos before returning for a super fun reception and party – conga lines and maracas included!

A big congrats to the lovely bride and groom!
